    LOL! I have a Black Dragonborn DO called Kelemvor Soulreaver, but his gear is nowhere near as good!

    I’ll have to read this and see how I am doing with his build!

      Nice name 🙂 and it’s working very well for now but I’ve just today seen the nerfs that are possibly in store for PC and that will undoubtedly trickle onto console in the near future.. so by the looks of things all builds will need massive revision in the coming months.
      But for now I’m still very happy with how this build performs 🙂

        Yeah, I play on PC and my Tiefling AC DC Righteous/Virtuous Recovery/APG/Power sharing buff/debuffer has been nerfed multiple times.

        I’ve not had time to study your guide in detail, but you went WIS + CHA, so basically Damage and Recovery/Companion Influence/Combat Advantage. My Dragonborn DO is very new and went STR+WIS with the 16, 10, 10, 10, 16, 12 roll and Imperial Set for another +2 STR + WIS. I was trying to get Crit and Stamina as high as possible as well as damage/healing.

        So that’s 28, 13, 13, 13, 28, 15 with campfire bonus and belt, 30, 14,14, 14, 30, 17 with potions of Heroism and Elixir of Fate.

        So I was curious why you put more points into CHA rather than STR for the Crit?

        But then I noticed that your companions can buff your Crit from 13 to 33k! So that’s the strategy of this build, Bondings and mount Insignia buffs for 100% Crit Chance?

        Does your summoned companion get killed often? I have some of those Bells from Winter Festival which can raise your companion and give them immunities for a while.

          Hi 🙂

          The reason I went with charisma over strength is that if you have most of the boons/run azures on companion , the extra crit chance really isn’t necessary.
          I was hitting 110% crit at one point and had to tone down the azures on my toon and I basically got it to an even balance which fluctuates between 99-101% crit chance.

          This is another reason why I didn’t spec into the heroic feat that increases our crit by 1% of our power, 1% of 40k power is only 400, so in my opinion putting 5 points into that feat rather than something else would be a waste of points. Also as a dragonborn we get 3% extra power and crit as a race feature so we do get a little extra anyway and the 1% wouldnt be necessary

          The extra stat bonuses from CHA benefit me more than extra crit would as it’s available from so many different places. For example I run no crit or power insignias on my mounts at all.
          I run full defense/deflect insignias for the extra power to be routed through assassin’s covenant.

          The build would even be still very effective even with 80% crit chance and the owlbear cub though.
          So it’s important but not the be all and end all. But with 6 R12 azures I tend to sit between 33-35k crit which does fluctuate a bit but never drops below 99% in combat, as long as I’m attacking it’s 100%.

          I run no crit enchantments on my toon at all now they are all radiants or silvers, my recovery is about 11k now and I’ve maintained just over 40k base power too. So it’s still achievable with no crit on toon or crit insignias slotted at all.

          And my companion does die but it never poses a problem as he’s always up and proccing again before the 20 secs expires, also something worth noting is the closer you stand to your companion the more power you will be sent through companions gift due to the powershare feat on your toon.

    Hey. Thanks for posting your build.

    I’m curious to know, on your companion, where did you the gear from? I have only got those rare 2 offense slot.

      Hi glad you liked the build ☺️.

      The double offense slot companion gear is farmable through the illusionist gambit skirmish, I got mine before they upped the drop rates in the recent mod 12 update and it took a lot of farming but since then I’ve had a lot of the +4 gear drop from there. It’s just a matter of farming it repeatedly until the correct gear drops for your companion.

    Hi, just came back to the game and was just wondering what powers did you use, like a build of sorts i guess, i have read which ones you use but like leveling up wise

      I’ve always stuck with chains of blazing light, daunting light and divine glow.
      But while your levelling just use whatever does the most damage that you have unlocked to help get through the quests, doesn’t really matter so much until you hit 70 and start running t2s and 3’s

    Good to see a fellow alliance member with his own build! I just started to gravitate to a DO DC alt as my newish main (had her for over a year now). I mainly run a CW, but with all this newer content being support-centric, I decided to concentrate more on my DC. Gonna give it a go for a bit. So, yo’d say the T-Rex is BiS for a DC also? I just equipped my legendary one last night and loved the effects. Hope to run with you sometime, bro.

      Hi buddy sorry for the delayed response.

      You will no doubt really enjoy playing as a DO, it’s a versatile class to play and I find it addictive.

      I’d definitely say the t rex is bis right now for the Debuff as it stacks with other Debuffs and t rexes etc and you can see things melting pretty quick when all of these are taken into consideration.

      I’d be happy to play together at some time bro, I’ve recently moved Guild/alliances now however, but I can pm you my gamer tag and you can add me if you’d like.

    I’m trying to make a buff/debuff cleric as you have here, but I’m having trouble picking a race. I’m stuck between human and drow. With the drow I get a chance to lower the defence of enemies, which I feel will help the team. But the human gets 3 extra heroic feats. Both get similar stats. But my drow started with 12 str, 18 Wis, 16 Cha. While my human got 13 str, 20 Wis, 13 Cha. I’m new to this style and could use some help picking… Any advice?

      Well I’m a dork. The human can get the same stats as the drow. But I’m still unsure as to which is better, 3 extra feats, or decreasing enemy defense?

        Hi Emily, Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply, I’ve been a bit inactive on here lately.
        I’m sure you made your choice already by now, but I’d definitely recommend human for the 3 extra feat points. They will be more beneficial in the long run, and also the 3% defence bonus will contribute to your assassin’s covenant if you are using that mount power. Thanks 😀

    Hey Raziel, Awesome Build, made a DC and it makes me enjoy the Class a lot even at lower Levels. I wanted to ask if you ever considered using the DC Sigil for use or if you usually can spam HG/Hammer anyways, and if so, how about using Lantern for Debuff? Saw some good DCs using it. However, Im no DC Pro so wanted to ask you what you say. 🙂

    Hi Aela, I’m glad you are enjoying the build ☺️

    The DC sigil is an awesome artifact, however it’s kind of loses its usefulness when playing as a DO.
    Ever since they put a cooldown on hallowed ground it’s makes the power from the DC sigil wasted, often I recharge my AP from combat alone before the cooldown has run out.

    But if your running AC also then it’s definitely worth slotting on that loadout as your main artifact.

    As for the lantern it’s very good now it’s been fixed a little while back, definitely a viable choice, the heart was more for choice of stats and being able to keep a Debuff handy.

    But if you want those particular stats then it’s one of the best choices as a main artifact.

      Yeah I thought so about the Heart since you get with the Book already the 1.2k AP for the Cap which is pretty nice since you can use, like you, your Artifact Weapon Power on something else. I didn’t do a AC Loadout yet, wanted to get my DO high enough for ToNG and stuff first, but yeah, then the Sigil is prolly one of the best.

    Stupid question.
    what starting rolls did you use ? i am kinda stuck at the ability scores , cant decide if i go for a good wisdom roll but a lower overall stat points, or the better stat points overall and less wisdom. (since the starting rolls spread from 72 total to 77 total deepening on the spread)

      No problem glad you like it bud.

      Technically black ice are best in slot for defense enchantments, due to it giving extra power over a single stat enchantment, (approx 60 power extra per black ice 12) through assassin’s covenant.

      I don’t currently use black ice but may make the switch in 12b once it’s easier to refine them.

      However if the mix of stats works for you in offensive slots too then go for it ☺️

          This is really starting to work well for me now, finally understanding this class a little better!

          Was there any particular item/set that really helped bump up your character? I’m still under 10k gs and wondering what I should be upgrading/buying next to help with progression.

    I looooooove this build. People kept telling me I needed to change to a AC cause DOs suck cause they don’t give the power share but once I changed it I hated it bought a retrain token and put this build back on my DC I am able to do all my dailys and even out DPS some people in dungeons and I’m only 12k item level. Love love love this build to a T. Thanks 😁

    nice build, but I have some questions about the full debuff rotation for harder content like fbi, mspc and t9g.

    1- do you run prophecy of doom in a 2 dc group ? or you still run chains, divine glow and FF/BTS

    2- if you use Prophecy of doom in a 1 or 2 dc group, could you tell me what’s your rotation, do you use prophecy in divinity?

    for instance :

    fill you divinity with brand of the sun and 3 lance of faith , then prophecy, switch to divinity, 3 forge/BTS (or 1 divine glow and 2 forge/BTS) then 1 forge/BTS empowered ?

    is that a good rotation or should i use prophecy in divinity ?

      I’d still run prophecy in 2dc groups, probably not worth using until you reach bosses.

      But up until the boss I’d run chains,DG, FF fully empowered or BTS.

      Then at boss I’d switch chains for prophecy of doom, I’d cast divine glow, and probably 2 FF in Divinity, then a fully empowered FF, and then I’d throw in a PoD unempowered after every fullly empowered FF/bts

    Just curious how this compares to other DO builds, and if someone with this build would be welcome in T9G groups. Would hate to get in there and have people griping that I’m not doing something that most other clerics do.

      Ive never had a problem getting in T9G runs. As mentioned in the build our focus isn’t personal DPS in T3 dungeons.
      The only thing I can suggest is reading a few guides and comparing them.

    Just changed my build to this and what a serious difference it makes I went from AC power to this do buff and i thought I’d miss the power buff when all the buffs/debuffs hit I do alot more damage thanks for sharing man

    Initial stat rolls for my build would be 18 wisdom, 13 strength 13 charisma.

    As for a choice of those 3 races I would be inclined to choose human or half elf

          Glad to help! I notice this is a new version from the one I first studied, so I have an interesting read ahead of me.

          I agree, the best race for DO DC is DB and then probably Human, as they are the only ones that can have WIS as a Primary, and the human gets the extra 3 Heroic Feats and the DB +2 in STR or CHA. DB is perfect for your type of DC. Dwarf, Wood Elf, Drow and Half-Elf can work, too, but I think DB is better.

          Half-Elf and Tiefling are good Paladins, Tiefling are good CW or SW, but DB is King of DC for optimised stats. Tiefling, Sun Elf etc can work for AC DC, due to the CHA and INT bonus and racial innates, but that is more based around cooldown, Recovery and APG as a party buffer and Perma-AA. Shame about the Power Looping!

          WIS is still the thing for DC, unlike GF and TR, where CON and DEX are really not as good for dps builds as STR, due to the changes over the years. There’s so many Max hp on gear now, and CON only affects Base hp, not Max hp like it says. Toughness applies to hp on gear, but not CON bonus. And GFs don’t really need the extra APG from CON, either.

          With DB, you can use 14, 16, 14 and put the +2 in the 14s to maximise STR and DEX for GF (dps, Stam, ArPen) and STR and CHA for TR (dps, Stam, Deflect and Combat Advantage)! Or 16, 16, 12 and do the same thing for even more STR.

          Anyway, I am going a bit Off Topic!

            There’s been quite a bit of change from the first version I posted last year. But not much has changed in the last 3 months or so. Nothing major changes for the 12b update either except the obvious things.

            The same core principles are there though I still play the same way I always have and don’t expect any major changes until probably mod 13.

            But it’s interesting what you say about the races and base stat rolls. I think unlike the older days they are trying to make the races less of an important decision when making a character, like it’s more of a fashion thing than a real game changing thing.

            I suppose it’s to influence diversity in the game to an extent, and some sort of minor balancing tactic.

            Had I not already had dragonborn unlocked I’d happily have stuck with human for my DC as I think the zen store is overpriced. But I suppose when one is trying to min max then every little helps.

            I personally like the look of halflings as I don’t seem to see that many of them around lately especially halfling DC’s lol.

            I have a Halfling AC DC! She is +2 DEX and CHA Virtuous/Faithful with Lathander set. She is very tanky! Especially with Anointed Armour for AC and Deflect bonus, But she does take a while to kill things. 🙁 She has ludicrous Divinity Gain, though. 2 hits of Blessing of Battle fills it, as she has all the Divinity feats going. That’s useful for Break the Spirit stuns in PvP, as well as being useful for her damage healing on top of her HoT heals and buffs in PvE. But most geared players don’t need Healing, they need buff/debuff and Power share, and that’s where Righteous DO and Righteous/Virtuous AC excel.

            But they sort of nerfed her before she got really good by messing with Astral Shield because, in PvP, GWFs were crying they could not one-shot a DC ever since the broken Lostmauth set was fixed. I met a Virtuous in PvP with my new TR. I just could not hurt her! But she could not kill me, either, just blow me off the node, so we started chatting.

            She was 16k with SH boons,
            Defence and Deflect as high as possible,
            All Legendary/Mythic
            All Rank 12
            Valhalla Set reduced my damage the more I hit her,
            ENORMOUS Max hp
            Legendary and Epic Mounts with tons of Defence, Deflect and AoE Resistance
            standing inside Astral Shield inside a Hallowed Ground!

            Then she Sunbursts me 30 feet away! I take, maybe, 3000 damage.

            Now, if someone stacks their DC to be that tanky and yet they cannot kill a kobold, they DESERVE to be Immortal. But the Devs somehow got the idea that it was Astral Shield that made ALL DCs that tanky. Just not true. My other DCs are no where near as tanky as my Virtuous/Faithful AC. The way to kill those sorts of DCs holding a node is to use strategy and tactics, not steam in, use one-rotation and look on in stunned horror because she is not dead. EG, CW to freeze from behind and GWF attacks from the front and Invisible TR stealth Lashes, SE’s and Smoke Bombs her. HR Stun-Rooting would help as well.

            I still see OPs where my old Dwarf Righteous DO DoT Crits for 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0. Even without their shield up. What about fixing them!?


            But you’re right, NW encourages min-Maxing very strongly. I think these days, gear and higher enchant level overwhelms most racial bonuses. The Tiefling +5% damage vs enemies below 50% Max hp is still good. As good as many Feats or Boons, like the Sun Elf’s +2% APG and 10% CC resist. Half-Orc’s +5% Crit Severity etc. But it’s not game-breaking.

            Back in Mod 2 on PC, race and initial rolls mattered a lot more. One thing was for perma-stealth TRs, high INT and CON made a big difference in PvP. But I think that was when CON bonus also applied to hp on gear, and the hp on gear was a tiny fraction of what it is now. And there was far less Recovery about. But that got nerfed in Mod 6. They tried nerfing it in Mod 5, but made it worse!

            I had two Halfling TRs then, Whisperknife and Master Infiltrator. I respecced the WK as DB when it first came out, and put the +2 in CON and INT and maxed INT and CHA! I just respecced them both for STR and CHA, but they really need a race re-roll for the starting stats, for optimisation. But they are just for solo fun atm.

            But TRs now auto-Crit and have Combat Advantage in Stealth, so DEX is not really their main thing anymore. You can stack Crit in other ways if you need it when unstealthed. STR and CHA is the thing and try to use Stealth as much as possible. Permanent Invisibility is much harder to achieve as they deplete stealth with At Will damage, but at 17k it could be possible with 24k Recovery or something. But that is really best as a PvP build. Anyway, with very high Power and the right build and feats, TRs can one-shot a lot of things in PvP.

            It’s the same thing where for a dps GF, STR and DEX or STR and CHA is the thing, as they always have Combat Advantage when they mark and that (or ArPen from DEX) is more useful for dps than hp they don’t need and the APG from CON.

            Anyway, nice chatting. I don’t really PvP much these days. It CAN be fun, but usually it’s not. PvE is much more rewarding. It’s good that the DC still has several viable builds and WIS still matters.

            Still getting boons on my Black DB DO, Kelemvor Soulreaver. He really does kill things much faster than my other, much better geared DCs!
