First and foremost, this build is based off of What the Crit’s Mod 5 CW SS Thaum CW Build. So I do believe they deserve credit. If you want to look at their build.. Here is the link…

With that being said, here is my build that I have been using, I really enjoy it.

This wizard build’s goal is to damage everything and kick out encounter powers as quickly as possible

Race: Human – Why? We get an extra 3 feat points that will come in handy for being a team player and being a stat buffing wizard to help everyone in group without going into the Renegade path.

Level 10: 1 INT 1 CHA
Level 20: 1 INT 1 CHA
Level 30: 1 ALL
Level 40: 1 INT 1 CHA
Level 50: 1 INT 1 WIS
Level 60: 1 ALL
Level 70: 1 INT 1 WIS

Heroic Feats Points;
Tier 1:
Controlling Action: 0/5
Weapon Mastery: 3/3
Toughness: 3/3
Summary: We like our critical chance higher and we need higher HP being squishy.
Tier 2:
Fight on: 3/5
BattleWise: 0/5
Wizard’s Wrath: 3/3
Summary: Why use fight on at 3/5? We are going to be kicking out encounter powers to spread the wealth… I mean damage. Doesn’t seem like much right now, once we get into the Paragon feats and once it’s build out, it helps a ton
Tier 3:
Blighting Power: 3/3
Lightning Teleport: 0/3
Arcane Enchancement: 0/3
Summary: Yes, going to still be using cold powers. We don’t need to run when we are going to be destructive and Arcane Enhancement is only giving us 3% more damage… no thanks.
Tier 4:
Learned SpellCaster: 5/5
Prestidigitation: 3/3
Focused Wizardry: 0/3
Summary: SpellCaster is going to increase the damage we do. If you are NOT human, you can do 0/3 for prestidigitation. I found it useful to get a nice stat buff and personally, I love it. It buffs you and everyone in your group. It helps in the dungeons and where ever you go.

Paragon Points:

Renegade Path: Not a point goes in here. We already used 3/3 Prestidigitation. That’s us being a team player right there.

Assailing Force: 1/1

Summary:We want 5% more damage from killing foes for 15 seconds, with large mobs, this just kicks up the DPS a notch. Snap freeze is nice, because anyone who is not affected by chill is now taking more damage at 10%. This is where we love the Thaum path. With Elemental reinforcement… When we using our cold or lightning encounter we gain 5% increased bamage at 10 seconds… Did I mention that each elemental may apply this bonus? Yeah an extra 15% bonus in damage when 3 elements are in play. Spell Twisting is extremely useful! When we spam our encounters stacks up to 3 times and then we cast our at will. This reduces the cool down by 30%! Now with cool downs reduced, we can kick out more encounters and yes Elemental Reinforcement comes into play with 15% more damage again. Frozen Power transfer is nice for when our encounters are on cool down.. 5% more damage on the 3rd strike of chilling cloud. Emental empowerment is just pure bonus damage. Assailing Force: When Assailant is granted (which happens alot) our next encounter is kicking out 15% of the target’s max HP as unresistable damage. It may be only 1 target… but remember, our cool downs are super quick so we can target more foes!

Bitter Cold: 5/5
Chilling Control: 5/5

Summary:Targets are taking 5% more damage from bitter cold (if they are affected be chill). Chilling control now allows us to add 5 stacks of chill with sudden storm

Chilling cloud – Use this At-Will. Forget the others.
RB – Conduit of Ice
X – Icy Terrain
Y – Sudden Storm
B – Steal Time

Regen 1/1  (What no life steal? No, Mod 6 nerf’d the hell out of it
Critical Severity 3/3 (I’m currently at 2/3, but my next point is going to be put here)

I have not gotten any farther in the boons. I will update them as I achieve them

    How about Campaign Points. Where did you invest in the Campaign points for each of the campaigns.

    So I want to say thank you for specifying which spells go where on the Xbox controller. That helps. Im a level 70 Control Wizard and while I managed to stay alive I am having great difficulty staying alive now in areas like Spinward anf Fiery pit and Well of Dragons. What I dont understand is my setup (which I am seeing is probably wrong after seeing yours). I have used spells that where highest damage output of damage but I am wondering if thats the right approach. My first instinct is to not use Ray of Frost or Conduit of Ice because it doesn’t do much damage when I look at the hit points it deals out. Storm Pillar does far more. What am I missing? Thanks.

      conduit of ice is usefull for the stacks of chill it add and the area in which it can damage enemies, combine that with eye of the storm and storm spell you can deal alot of damage really quickly

    Not a good build…
    It makes me sad when people make builds and don’t know what even the feats does…
    Sorry, dont mean to be rude, but you have alot to learn about CW, it feals like your trolling or something…

    On Heroic feats Tier 4 you want:

    Learned SpellCaster: 5/5
    Note: this is a trap feat, it gives 5% on your “BONUS” from INT, you have 27 in Int so you have 17% bonus, 5% of 17%? = 0,85% more damage.

    I would rather go for:
    Prestidigitation: 2/3 (or 3/3 if Human)
    Note: Buff your self and hole party.
    If you have 10k power it gives ~1,5% more dmg to all (and thats just from 2 points! This will increase with more power).

    Focused Wizardry: 3/3
    Note: deal 30% more on Single Target spells for -10% AoE, well this is so mfOP, what a trade!
    30% dmg for all single target powers:
    Conduit of Ice + 30% (yes this spell is single target even on tab!!!)
    Steal Time + 30% (yes this is also single target x 6 times per cast on all mobs!!!)
    ice knife + 30%
    stormspell hits +30% (this is what Spellstorm Mage is all about)
    Assailing Force +30%
    Creeping Frost + 30%
    Warped magic + 30%
    And stormfury +30% (if you ever use this)
    Only thing to regret is -10% on Opressive force, -10% on Icy terrain and -10% on sudden storm.
    On the rest it pretty much overcompensates(read: overkill) on the stormspell, since the rest is mostly aoe Stormspell proccers enyway.

    You will see a HUGE increase on dmg done by using 3 points in Focused Wizardry!

    Further: This is the way to go in Thaumaturge:
    Tempest Magic: 5/5
    Malevolent Surge: 5/5
    Snap Freeze: 0/5
    Destructive Wizardry: 0/5
    Elemental Reinforcement: 5/5
    Spell Twisting: 5/5 (you will love this!!)
    Far Spell: 0/5
    Frozen Power Transfer: 0/5
    Transcended Master: 0/5
    Elemental Empowerment: 5/5
    Assailing Force: 1/1

    Then you go Oppressor:
    Severe Reaction: 0/5
    Bitter Cold: 5/5
    Brisk Transport: 0/5
    Chilling Control: 5/5 (Icy terain + Sudden Storm = insta freeze!)
    Frigid Winds: 5/5 (All do 10% more dmg)

    Try it and be amazed!

    Zomganabb, I would be interested in hearing your opinion on my build. I am LVl 70 SpellStorm Thaumaturge CW with 12k power, 60k HP and it seems as if I should be doing more damage (for me and my team). The opinions on the builds have been all over the map. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    i am cw lev 68 master of flame, i am thinking to respec all powers and boon, and change to spell storm…. any advice? is it worth ?

    I has having trouble with my CW on areas such as Dragon Well and Ice Windale, but I respec according to this build, change some powers to the tray, now I’m doing twice as dmg with the same gear,
